Brand identity
A name is only the beginning. We design logos, choose palettes, and set type so your business reads as one clear thing — on a sign, a truck door, or a phone screen.
Mex Creative is a one-room design studio on the Northern Neck. We build brand identities, take honest photographs, design clear websites, and print the pieces that help small businesses feel like themselves — for the farms, marinas, restaurants, and neighbors who keep this corner of the Chesapeake running.
Serving Heathsville, Kilmarnock, Warsaw, Tappahannock and the whole Northern Neck.
Every project starts with a conversation at a table, and ends with something you can hold, hang, or hand to a customer. Here is what leaves the studio each week.
A name is only the beginning. We design logos, choose palettes, and set type so your business reads as one clear thing — on a sign, a truck door, or a phone screen.
Honest pictures of real places: your dock at first light, your dining room at six, your fields in season. Shot here on the Neck, for the people who live here.
Fast, simple websites that tell your story and answer the questions people actually type. Easy to find, easy to read, and easy for you to keep up to date.
Menus, maps, rack cards, posters, and packaging — the paper people keep. Designed and proofed with the same care as everything else that leaves this studio.
Part of every job stays on the wall above the worktable — sketches, color studies, and proofs we keep turning over until they sit right.
Most of our clients live within thirty minutes of the studio. Oyster farms and marinas, farm stands and general stores, restaurants, churches, fire and rescue squads, and the nonprofits that hold small towns together. Their work is real and physical, and we think their brands should feel that way too.
We have watched these businesses through storms and good seasons, so we design for the long run: marks that still look right in ten years, websites owners can actually update, and print that survives being passed hand to hand.
There is no account department here — you talk directly with Marcus Sheridan, the studio's principal, from the first cup of coffee to the final delivery. The process is unhurried on purpose, because good work for a small town has to earn its place in it.
Good design does not need a big city. It needs a good neighbor with sharp eyes and the patience to get the small things right.
